Planned opening steps in Austria from May 19, 2021 in detail

Accommodation and industries relevant to tourism are allowed to reopen and operate largely everything.

Also of interest is the planned regulation when crossing the border, which states that it depends on the risk area (i.e. infection occurrences in the area from which a guest enters):

Regulations according to the ECDC map (https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/covid-19/situation-updates/weekly-maps-coordinated-restriction-free-movement) for risk areas:

- green / orange: free entry

- red: Entry only for tested, recovered or vaccinated people

- dark red: entry only tested, recovered or vaccinated and quarantine (free testing after 5 days)

So according to the current situation, there are already many countries from which entry will be possible without major hurdles. Very likely and also hopefully more and more areas will come from the dark red area and so people will have the opportunity to come to Austria on vacation without quarantine.

Due to the regulations on the return journey, we are waiting for a new one and will post it here as soon as we know.

So see you soon!!!
